I had that issue in a sunroom I just did. The slider was way lower than the windows flanking it, so I just made a headpiece for the door to make the unit appear taller.

Momma wanted a new arbor with a porch swing. Got the major part of the swing roughed together. Still gotta pressure wash the bark off the cedar logs & do some sanding before bolting/screwing it...
