Why can't you through bolt. Top bolt through the joists/beam and bottom bolt through the post. Can you wrap the deck in a wider fascia?

As to the original question. I would use a inverted hanger for the joist, but a fascia will cover the end of the ledger and I used headloks to tie the fascia to the ledger and the rim joist.
