I'm trying to focus on deckbuilding, so it gets used mostly for joist hangers, post bases, hurricane ties, etc... but nothing like as if I were framing a home.

I like to use no more than a 40 tooth blade for Azek. Part of your problem is the material heating up and gumming...

I highly doubt they want you to apply a tar based waterproofing between the footing and the wall.
