We never cut a bag of premix concrete.....and I guess you guys got that down....we always use the 94lb portland bags [powder]and make our own with the 48 jaeger mixer. Still have the hit and miss...

I do string lead similar to that for veneer work. I nail 2 2x4's so they're like an upside down L and nail that to the wall sticking passed a little less than where I guess the veneer is with a 3"...

This is what im talking about by leaving the old flashing now you just need to drape new lead over it and your done and the roofer is done too. Leave a 2" bend onto the shingles.
