Decorative Column Capital

On a decorative column capitals like Corinthian, does the column cover/capital wrap around or sit on top of a fiberglass column shaft?

Which Miter Saw?

Do any of you have ideas on best miter saw to use, when cutting crown molding, both in wood and polyurethane profiles. How about miter saw box? Any ideas on that? Thanks, Mike
