Bad day for that painter. I've never drawn on a person, but if it happens I hope I'd at least give them a loud warning before pulling the trigger, regardless of what the laws are in my state.

The large nut removes counter clockwise.

Remove the red/blue dot, 7/64 allen key to remove the handle from the broken stem.

Probably a 1225 catrridge.

Close the water...

I see everything from halfway decent Delta or Moen stuff, to cheap-ass, hardware store brand plastic crap with a "chrome" plastic coating.

It's surprising how many hardware store brands are making...
