I've seen a lot of trucks with bad fuel pumps that run good when cold, but quit or run rough when the engine warms up.

Generally with fuel issues, the best first step is to replace the fuel filter.

Makita is going to bring out the batteries with indicator once they sell out of the older style. I've got some of the 2ah batteries with the indicator, and they work pretty good.
