I installed a lot of those ceilings in the 1970's & 80's. There are 3 different systems for radiant heat ceilings.

system #1. Hangers go in & hang ceiling board. Sparky comes in & installs cable....

It's heavier and stronger than reg. 1/2" board

The real answer is to charge a lot more to cut slits in the mesh and pull out hands full of insulation, which I have had to do on some jobs.:furious:
