15 gauge nails. Remove hinge and put screws in behind the hinges. If you put the screws through the hinges before finishing the painters will take them out and jack them up.

IMO its not acceptable...

Rixon pivot hardware was the only way to go for me. Nothing else would would swing an 8' solid core with paneling attached without deflection and inconsistency.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try some of the wiha in T10 and T15 also. I use a lot of those for GRK screws but I find the GRK brand bits to be pretty soft also.
