I don't think it should be any problem. It's not really glue but contact cement, coat both surfaces, wait for it to tack and join.

Same with EIFS on wood frame structures. There's been a lot of problems with flashing details cause rot. In some instances it's difficult to get insurance, for a homeowner, or contractor.

Agreed, all very good reasons extradionary measures should have been in place to prevent it. I've worked on projects that were all steel and masonry and extreme precautions were employed.
