I used a infrared, in some places I used oil to soften, wet sand, wash, blowers, then oil prime. I almost got the front done. Hopefully the rain will leave, and 1 week of warm.

Sometimes its hard to tap this is old brick. The mortar joints are super soft. Bolting thru the mortar joint with washer on backside should work, correct. Just make sure to fill the joints good.

This house is 100 yrs old. Joist are actuall 2x8. I added a beam center of span. The floor surprisingly hadn't swaged much, about 3/8-1/2 in 100yrs. Pine floor is various width 2"-4" by 14'

Jacked up floor, added joist, fixed hole, refinishing tomorrow. It was tough getting hole patched without gaps. There's no underlayment. I've never refinished. Wish me luck.
