I have that drill but i don't use it much, the previous model (with the 1/4" quick disconnect) was a lot better than the chucked model and the one I prefer to use. I really like them for small stuff...

Heat on one side of a board and shade on the other and it is no mystery that it will cup. Ask Leo or any cabinet maker how they glue up tops. They will alternate the curve of the rings up and down...

Too bad that for many "good side" means installing the lumber with the best looking side up, instead of the "bark side" up which reduces cupping and makes for a more stable deck.
