I have used a bunch of different brands of hole saws and it seems to hold true that you get what you pay for. i had a few over the years and they were all pretty shot. i needed some new ones and saw the new Lenox ones and gave one a shot.
these new ones are really nice, they have a coating that helps the material not stick, and the stepped pry slot is awesome, especially when drilling the 2-1/8" holes in doors. i have the 2" sample one, 2-1/8" for drilling doors, 2-1/2 for desk grommets, and a 4-1/4" for dryer vents. so far they are holding up great, the 2-1/8" still cuts like new after about 5 doors, and one was a metal exterior door.
The Lenox Speed Slot is the best hole saw I've ever owned. And the cut out is so easy to remove because of the hole slot. Thanks Lenox!
