Wouldn't want to tie steel without these. Over 10 yrs old and still work great. I use the #7
My most prized plier.
edit: 5 stars (I can't seem to edit the star rating)
There is a reason the Klein Tools name is held in such high regard, and you can tell in the quality of these pliers. I have a slightly different model than listed(D2000-7CST), with the spring action. They are designed for tying rebar, and with the spring helping to prevent hand cramps, they absolutely excel at it. With high leverage from the 9" length and hook handle, and the induction hardened cutters, Klein built their pliers to withstand more than just the abuse of cutting tie wire. They can cut through screws, 8d or even 12d nails, and hard wire. The tolerances are quite tight, with no play in the movement.
I have had mine for 4 years, and they are abused daily. Anyone in the construction game should have a pair of these, rodbuster or carpenter.
