Festool Plunge Cut Circular Saw TS 55 EQ

The TS 55 has redefined the standards for circular saws. A host of refinements were incorporated to create a saw that is lighter, easier to handle, and more accurate than traditional saws. MMC electronics, FastFix blade changes, retractable spring-loaded riving knife, integrated dust extraction, and triple motor bearings all add up to unsurpassed quality and usability.

The 55 mm cutting depth, gives you almost 2 inches of cutting capacity when used with the guide rail. The plunge action allows you to make precision cut outs on wood surfaces and flooring. With so many great features, we challenge you to find a smoother cutting, stronger running, and more accurate option in a saw this size.

Has changed the way I work

I love this tool. Cutting up a kitchen of plywood parts or trimming cabs in the field - you can't do it more easily or safer. Starting & stopping a cut in the middle of a rip at exactly the right spots at each end is a cinch. Truly, this tool allows me to do operations with confidence & ease that I would not consider with other saws - table or portable. And the Festool Owners Group is an outstanding support system for any Festool owner looking to learn or complain, or otherwise share info. This TS 55 EQ is a cabinetmaker's or installer's or remodeler's friend.

          Best thing since sliced bread

I bought this to do some long (8') tapered columns. i used it on everything now. makes short work of cutting down doors, make working with full sheets of plywood much easier.

If I had the chance to purchase one almost new with 52" track and the systainer included for less than $300 is that good?
