Festool CT 26 E HEPA Dust Extractor CT26 E

Dust control is an integral part of the Festool system and design philosophy. That is why the CT 26 is equipped with tool-triggered auto start functionality so that when you plug your tool into the supplied outlet socket, the vacuum cycles with the tool. This represents greater efficiency in dust extraction, noise reduction, and with less energy consumption versus a constant-on unit. Variable suction force allows you to regulate the suction based on your tasks. A small detail sander may not require the full 137 CFM of this unit, but a router may require it.

This unit comes standard our new self-cleaning bag which prevents dust particles from caking inside the bag which reduces suction. We further optimize efficiency with the low-profile, flat-top design that allows the CT top to double as a tool rest as well as an integrated hose garage and docking station that allows the connection of Festool Systainers (not included) for easy transport and storage. The low center of gravity, integrated center handle, and extra large wheels make navigating rough terrain in the shop or jobsite easy without tipping over. A parking brake can even be locked to prevent unintentional roll off or drifting. The supplied 11-1/2 ft. anti-static (AS) hose is long enough for power tool and general work site clean up tasks.

For wet (water) clean up tasks, the CT will shut off automatically when full thanks to Level Stop technology. With an industrial design for heavy use the CT is equipped with over 24 feet of 12 gauge cord. A cord wrap is supplied to attach to the rear of the unit. With 137 CFM and only 62 dB (on the low setting), the CT 26 can quickly and quietly remove large amounts of debris, with minimal noise. A HEPA filter comes standard and offers the ultimate in clean air and filtration. The CT 26 is a good choice for the shop or the jobsite for all your power tool extraction and clean-up needs.

    Another great product from Festool

I bought this right after I purchased my RO150. Initially I was saying to myself "$550 for a shop vac....never" and I heard all the hype about it being so much better.

When you turn this unit on, you'll understand. It is super quiet at full power. Match it up with any Festool and it extracts the dust quite efficiently. I have no problem with it collecting pretty much ALL sawdust from my TS-55, RO150, and RO90.

It starts automatically when you have the tool plugged into the unit and has a delayed turn off to suck all the dust out of the hose.

It comes with one bag. You will need a replacement bag not too soon after, maybe in a month if you are using it heavy. I was cheap and tried to dump it out the intake. Just a PITA. Just spend the money on Amazon and get the replacement bags.

You can purchase the reusable HEPA one, but $200? This addiction is getting silly. To sand wood it has cost me over $1000. And the accessories are never ending. I'll be broke in no time.

The top comes off nice and easy, so it's easy to replace the bags. The main filter does not get clogged one bit.

It also has a variable speed switch on top. You don't really need full power to pull dust off your work while sanding.

I think dumping a bag full of dust is counter intuitive with the point of a dust extractor.

With the new fabric bags, you can suck up sharp objects and chunks of stuff without the worry of a ripped bag.

I agree Chris. It's almost like I need at least 2 or more vacs. I have 2 sanders and the TS-55, so anytime I switch, I need to reset what the hose is attached to. The sanders have the ribbed rings and taking the hose on and off becomes old.

Yes, I know Darcy. I'm a cheap ass, that's the only reason I was dumping dust out. You are right, counterproductive. Just buy the damn bags. Damn you Festool!
