The homeowner couldn't believe his eyes on day 4.  He wasn't sure what to expect or how long it would take.  I told him at the beginning I would have it cleaned up in less than a week and it took 4 days.  I visted his house twice a day, lucky he lived in a community next to mine.  He is thrilled with the results.

What did you use and would it be safe in garden ponds? I am thinking not!

I used basic pool chemicals. Liquid Chlorine(Shock), Alkalinity Increaser, and some Muriatic Acid. Lots of TLC as well.

Great job. My sister's pool is always green at the beginning of Summer. Sometimes they can turn it around, sometimes they drain it and have the fire department fill it back up for them.

I have had a pool for years. Important items to tend to when closing for the season: Provide strong liquid chlorine to water under a solid cover. Do not allow any solids - leaves or debris to reach to pool water. Opening pool up again, pump and remove debris from top of cover before removing it. Water always crystal clear in Spring!

You know they can make fuel out of algae now. The green pool might have fill up your diesel truck.
