Was curious what the weight of 2x4 and 2x6 walls are both without and with sheathing and tyvek per square ft ( Studs being 104" 5/8" 16" oc)

Add everything up and then divide the total weight by the area of the wall. You'll want the linear mass density of the lumber which you can get yourself by weighing a piece of known length. Might even find the linear mass density on an engineering website but you'll need to be sure of the species. Plywood weight for a full sheet will probably be listed somewhere but you could just weigh that as well and that gives you the area mass density.

Then it's just algebra.

He was busting your balls and I tried to explain how to figure it out yourself. He gets a thank you and I get zip?

Dude honestly get ****ed right in the brown eye.
We don’t call them 2x4 around here, we call them 350’s.
so a 9ft 2x6 wall 8ft wide weights 254lbs thx reggi

This is easy math.
Weight of a standard 2x4 is approx. 1.3 LB / LF

A 4' section of wall (16" stud centers) will have 8' of top & bottom plate = 10.4 LBS
and (3) 9' studs / 27' LF = 35.1 LBS
Total weight 45.5 LBS -or- 11.4 LBS per LF

Add accordingly if you have a double top plate, for sheathing, different stud spacing, etc.
Weights of all of these items are readily available.

Knowing the weight to me is pointless. I am not lifting the entire wall, but merely tipping it into position. The height of the wall is a big consideration also. At this point in my career, I can pretty much look at a wall and tell how many guys it will take to lift. For big walls, we either two piece them, or use the Lull if it is available.

You're just going to need to do the math yourself for your specific application.

We've got yur 8' walls, yur 9' walls, 10' walls, rake walls, 2x6 walls, 2x4 walls, walls with osb, walls with zip sheething, walls with 24" OC, walls with 16" OC. We even got yur lvl stud walls, yur 2x8 walls. Probably even got some shrimp shrimp walls mixed with gumbo.
