Wondering if anyone uses angi leads, and has anything good to say? I'm slightly intrigued, they call me once a month and are very pushy, which makes me believe it's probably not that great. I tried searching the forum but don't see any real experiences. I truly don't need the leads, but in the future if I find myself caught up, might consider this route, I don't know.

Hint, Angi was bought by Home Advisor. Home Advisor used to be Service Magic.

I get calls from them a few times a month and always regret answering once I realize who's calling. Have done work through Handy app in the past and seems they got bought up by Angi or whatever company they are now.
You can probably get clients from them but it'll probably not be worth the hassle - my two cents. I'd steer clear and seems that's a common consensus from others

seems like they hit a dead end. their leads are horrible now. anyone else experiencing this?

Those guys drive me crazy. They won’t stop calling me even after I asked to go on the do not call list.
They finally stopped calling me when I threatened legal action if they didn't.
I told em I'm on the the no call list & they needed to remove my # because I'm reporting them to the attorney General. Last time I heard from them & that was 2 years ago

While purchasing a sink online recently, a popup for Angi asked if I'd like to have the kitchen undermount sink installed for $297.00. I could specify a time within a given range and then done deal.
I cannot figure how a licensed and insured plumber can replace an undermount sink, plumbing included, for $268.00 (Angi has to take her cut). My guys are experts, we do this constantly, and on a good day could get two of these jobs done with drive time between included. How are you sending a $30.00-an-hour guy in a truck burning $4.00-a-gallon fuel and $14.00 a day in insurance, worker's comp, blah, blah, blah, for the opportunity to gross $536.00?
I have to charge 5x as much to stay in business and make a reasonable profit. Do the guys who sign up for Angi not do math?

A homeowner I did some work for asked if I could put together a plastic outdoor storage shed for her.
I told her no, I would have to charge too much.
She found on Angie’s list that someone would put it together for $270. She wasn’t shopping prices, that was what a standard charge was.
Two guys came out and spent the better part of a day to assemble it. Home Owner felt so bad she gave them some more money.

So, last year I decided to check on my free listing on angi. I requested an estimate from myself. I received 3 calls from competitors and never personally received a notification. Royally pissed me off that they were using my reputation to sell leads and then making it seem like I did not contact the client. I called the rep and told them to remove all my information from Angi. What does the rep do????? he keeps my listing and marks me as no longer in business.
