and was going nuts looking for it. I always carry an 1 1/2" flexy and stiff blade in my pouch and without them, I cannot function...especially when I lose my flex blade which i've honed to perfection to the likes of Michelangelo and is sharp enough to slice and dice like the world's finest Ginsu.

The new stiff ones I leave alone, the flex blades I take a palm sander and have at it for a few minutes to give them extra flex to encourage the sharpening process...I am once again whole, and color coordinated at that!

I know there's others with this disorder...time to fess up 😆

I had an older Hyde with a rubber handle that had just the right amount of flex and now it’s so worn out and I haven’t had time to clean it up. I haven’t seen one like that for a long time, I might have to look around.

I carry a few different putty knives, mostly flexible but some stiffer ones too, some sharpened some not.

Big fan of the 3/4” myself.

Great thread!

I was just thinking today about how not only do I love my 1.5" flexi Hyde, but it's one of my only tools that I've had the whole time. Bought it one of the first weeks I started in the trades, and it survived the time I got my tool bag clipped because I had it with my paint tools at the time. Might actually be my old tool I've had the whole time because of that incident.

Vinyl, I bought the 3/4 thinking it was going to be a game changer, but I ended up using it so infrequently that I really have no idea where it is right now. In the truck somewhere, but I don't know what section it's in.
That inch and a half though. Dang. What a tool. I mix all mixing puttys with it, I break all paint seals with it, I score all items to be scored with it. It's just such a great tool.
