Picked up a 6x16 V-nose all aluminum double-axle trailer recently, at an insane low price. Extremely excited to get this trailer outfitted. I've been without one for awhile now and it sucks.

I hope to incorporate a lot of ideas I've picked up here, as well as not repeat various mistakes I made with my last few trailers.

Oddly, I'm most excited to build out the nose into a mini kitchenette and office work station. Small air fryer, dorm size little tiny fridge or electric cooler.

Other must haves are a dedicated wall space for my table saw, and storage for a few lengths of common lumber and trim pieces, etc. Sure will be nice to have my 28' extension ladder inside too. Going to have a built in box for it to lay flat along one wall.

Gutted the trailer recently, then started insulation today. 1" rigid foam, R-6. Head space inside is good enough to allow for me to insulate and cover the ceiling with 1/4" pine ply.

After wall panels and trim go back up, every wood surface in that trailer is getting light gray Dry-Lok, two coats, followed by shop flooring of some kind or another ok the floor.

After that, rough wiring, including shore power and battery backup system with small transfer switch.

Little bit of progress this week. Ceiling insulated, panels cut and installed for the ceiling. Got the walls abojnt half insulated and am putting the plywood back up on them. Taking my kids camping this week Wednesday through Saturday; I'm gonna haul this with me so my princess of a daughter has her own place to sleep, and I can work on it during the day while the kids are out running around and swimming and such.

Will have all the wall panels and the trim up before Wednesday. Then I'll do the drylok and the pvc shop flooring at camp. Hopefully start the rough wiring up there too.

Door latch was locked and I have no key for it, so I removed it. Going to try to get a new one tomorrow at the local trailer sales yard.

No real sexy pics yet. Those will come after the epoxy and the shop flooring go in.

Walls and ceiling insulated with R6 foam board. Panels all put up, including new ones on the ceiling, which didn't have any. Trimmed out all the seams. Primed and painted the ceiling with some light gray I had in the barn.

Got one and a half coats of blue on the walls. It'll suck up some light, but it's the color of the most beautiful body of water in the world, Lake Michigan, so it's therefore the best. I'll have plenty of light in here when it's wired up.

Gonna head into town tomorrow and buy Husky PVC shop flooring and install that Friday. Next will come install of my Dewalt van racks on the left side, so I can start getting all my **** back in here and out of the barn. Then onto the wiring.

Been using the hell out of this thing already. I went six months without a trailer. That sucked. Never again.

Looks great. Will you have heat and/or AC? That should be pretty east to heat/cool with the insulation you installed, much quieter also. Keep up the good work.

Got a chrome plated unit up, that's holding hardware, boxes of coil nails, etc. Built, installed, and started sealing the main work bench and gun storage.

Wired up the shore power so I at least have lights and a charger going for my batteries. Coming along....

Next is finish the flooring then install my work desk/kitchenette in the nose.

Heat, yes. Small built in space heater. With a manual switch so it kicks on every time I plug in to shore power.

AC is a no. I don't spend very much time actually inside the trailer working during the hot months.
