search alittle and mostly old posts... looking at picking one up. have used the bostich alot and liked it well enough but the max air is drawing me in. dewalt is cheapest but not fond of dewalt air tools.
I am assuming most manufacturers nails interchangeable and fit these guns 33-35 degrees?
TIA

anyway you can go cordless . i would of loved crawling under houses doing seismic and not dealing with a hose .imagine doing 'hurricane' clips ,up and down ladders and no hose getting in your way . do not know your job or how you will use it .in my work the longer nail capacity is alot of what it got used for .
i own an old hitachi and i have no complaints .also the bostich framing gun with the interchangable nose .worked well though heavy .i prefer the method of using the nail head to align with the hole vrs using the tip of the gun nose .
interested in what others have to say .

I've used Bostich's Strapshot, Senco's JoistPro, and the Max SuperLocator. Favourite is the Max, durable, reliable, I like the nail tip alignment. There are a few options for cordless PP nailers, I believe Mike (Calidecks) bought the Fasco and loves it. For me, I'm entirely on air still anyway, and that leaves me with 1 less consumable to keep track of in the trailer.

There is essentially only 1 main brand of nail available where I am (Bissett), but their nails work in all 3 guns, as do Bostich nails. Pretty universal.

We use this cheepy. Surprisingly, we haven't had any issues in the 2 years of full time framing with it. I've used Hitachi positive placements in the past as.well. This gun really isn't that much slower. Its lighter, simpler internally, and no flinging nails from misplacement.

Yeah but the high velocity hanger nail projectiles are half the fun. And, the option of blasting a nail through the hanger to create your own hole can sometimes come in handy.
