I know it is almost 2021 (in a few hours), but any new thoughts on rotary lasers? I think I'm pretty set on Stabila. I would like it be able do horizontal or vertical lines along with a plumb dot. I think that leaves me with two choices, the LAR 350 or the LAR 160 G. They both have similar kits (stand, receiver, pole, case etc.) The 160 G is about half the price ($850) of the 350 ($1700).

The big differences of the LAR 350 is possible shock resistance, dual slope/ 2-axis inclination (not sure what I would use that for), section mode, scan, and maybe standby. The LAR 160 G claims some impact resistance and has similar water/dust ratings, and also features a GREEN laser. Accuracy is the same, but the the working diameter is slightly smaller for the LAR 160 G (600 meter diameter) which is still more than I would need.
My intended use is leveling/plumbing/setting grade outdoors as well as helping to establish square. I might use the tilt function to set a slope for something like a fence, but that can be set manually on both.
I'm thinking the LAR 160-G will do everything I need, but am I missing something?
