Framing nailers for fencing

Wondering if anyone would know if a coil nailer would be ok for fencing as it still shoots hot dipped galvanized nails. Or do I need a regular framing nailer to shoot the straight strip of nails

You can use whatever nailer you want as long as it shoots the correct nails for your project

I prefer an SKS to nail boards on from a distance. If youre left handed make sure to get a left handed gun too.

Coil nailer works well, you dont need the 3” framing nails that a framing nailer can shoot.

I've been using a coil siding nailer for fence pickets for years. I always sink 3' deck screws in for the rails, then nails for the pickets. 2" ring Shank galvanized

All the fences around here get a 1x4 or 1x6 cap over the fence boards so I screw on the rails and then staple the boards on with 1”1/2 galvanized staples. Then the cap is screwed on top.

In my case staples are cheaper and the gun holds a lot more

Bostich N64 fence and siding coil nail gun. Up to 1 3/4” I think. I use SS ring shank but I’m sure your supplier can get you whatever you want
