Alright!!! Finally got my enclosed trailer. 16x7 with 6'6" interior height. Going to document my build here. Going to build it like it will be the last trailer I will ever need. I am a low voltage and handyman contractor. I promised the wife I would sell my mustang before actually up fitting this thing. So for now I'm going to work out of it as messy as I can. Get a feel for how my daily routine isike with so much space.

I'm coming from working out of the F150 in the picture only. Upgrade! Build list will include.

-built in drawers and tool organization.

-solar power.

-electrical wiring for solar power, generator and shore power.

-insulation for ceiling and walls

-Rino Lining

-Miter Saw station

- ladder rack

- move outside electrical box inside trailer

- awning? Maybe not

Anyways let the fun begin. Any input would be awesome everyone. Thanks..

I've learned that if you have a can of paint on the top shelf, it will soon be all over your trailer, unless it falls in a tote. Then you will have all white tools.

Looking at these setups is making me want to gut mine and start over. It has pretty much become stationary storage at this point. And not a very well organized one at that.

Mine is organized, but not as well as it used to be. Over time, we changed what we kept in the trailer and what we kept in the trucks. We were looking at it, this winter, thinking of all the things we didn't really need in there. 3 corded sawzalls? We haven't used a corded sawzall in a few years, but here we are, dragging them around.
Our tools also changed. When one tool gets old and replaced, or replaced by the next best thing, then our shelves don't fit the new tool like the old one.

We talked about a remodel, but ended up doing nothing. Truthfully, the time involved isn't worth it at this point. Remodeling the trailer doesn't make us any money. The closest we get is when I freak out and start cleaning the trailer. Couple times a year I get sick of the buildup and do a spring cleaning.

I agree it's a lot if space. It is ment to be mybone stop spot for any blade. Still a work in progress. I make it large enough to fit 12" blades of which I do not have a tool that requires them. I will store every blade and wheel for all tools. From grinders to Miters. And if it doesnt work out I have a free drawer that I can throw them in. Lol

Definitely a vented space for the battery-battery...ditto on the invertor, plastic drip pan(s) for batteries.

Like the mouse proof wiring.

cheap printer hooked to cellphone based hotspot for change orders/ "faxes" etc on the job... flat screen monitor & full size keyboard/mouse. E-based "blue prints"

I'd think some one is making upgraded contracting trailers?

Yeah not pictured is a area for a microwave, Keurig, and printer.

Battery box is next up. Along with mounting inverter above the box

Old cell phone for 911 calls by First Aid box, fire extinguisher(s) Inside and OUT

PPE closet? spare clean clothes? eye wash kit? and an Irish toilet, 6-7 Gallon bucket and LID. paper towels & Toilet paper.... spray deodorant...

On a taller trailer, an awning?

Well got the battery bank and inverter mounted. Installed another shelf above it to make better use of the area. Installed a battery voltage monitor to keep track of the % left before I have to recharge the bank. No solar yet. Just charging the bank when needed. So far this bank is completely overkill for my needs. Will be installing a microwave and Keurig later.

12 ply tires and helper air bags?

I can see SOS unloading a few thousand lbs at the local DOT highway scale.....

Might need the 15000 lb Reese hitch assembly...

Any likely hood of a B team trailer for a B team?

what would you leave out of the 2cd trailer if you ran two jobs simultaneously?

Suggest a 1/4" plus airspace around each battery for cooling, maybe an outdoor remote reading thermometer stuck in the box?

The job is not over till the paper work is caught up....

A complete list of tools, Parts, and stock with their location, Excel maybe? something searchable by PC/ smart phone.

And hourly $ rate to internally charge every job it is one? Per mile transport cost?

Pictures of every draw and shelf for training help? And insurance claims?

Don't forget the OSHA regs and forms needed, and any job posters, MSD sheets on electronic file....

I know it’s not a trailer but I’ve had good luck with box trucks! We painted the floor with epoxy something something from Sherwin Williams, so tomorrow we can build!
I’m a fan of 1/2” osb and 2x2 for shelves and benches so nothing too fancy for us!!! But it’s fun to have a clean slate!!
