I go through tapes frequently. Well about every 6-8 months.
The numbers and wear off, the blades crack, the tonge becomes overly sloppy.
And the worst part I hate the most is when the retract lock wears out and the blade moves.
Any recommendations? I am willing to spend top dollar for a primo tape to keep stored in the finish tool box.
I really appreciate when 1/8-7/8 placements are labeled because it makes it faster to read down to the 1/32 when in uncomfortable positions. Like over extending on a 10' later bending around exposed Hvac vents to get a tight measure on some crown for example.
I liked my dewalt 16' tape but everything just seems built for framing with no convenices to accomdate fine finish work.
Anyone else agree here?
