Im bidding a CVS located in a mall and Im coming across some out of my experience demo items. Its calling for some metal stairs (27 s.f.), conveyor belt system (34 s.f.) and a mezzanine (77 s.f.) to be removed. I cant figure on how big of a dumpster to get or about how long. Any advice??

Contract with a Metal Recycler who will PAY YOU for the scrap. They will know.

Well the Mall is requiring us to use there dumpster companies which is double the cost of how we usually use. Ive just never taken them apart to know about how long or what the debris outcome will be.

As for the debris outcome and the size of dumpster.......Depends on how much you spend on the "consumables". Grinder wheels, Sawz-All blades and Acetylene Oxide cost Money and the smaller the pieces you make, the more consumables will be spent.

The smaller the pieces, the smaller the dumpster.

I seriously suggest you find someone with experience to handle this phase of the Demo.

Chances are a scrap company will take all the steel and place it on a trailer. From the sq footages you are giving it doesn't seem like very much. I have don demo's on steel and aluminum stadiums with nothing more than a Lull, A backhoe with breaker for footer demo, impact guns and a torch. The demo was a 100k job and I sold the steel to a bleacher company for 45k.
