Hey Guys,

I think my sub is trying to pull a fast one on me. If he didn't run out of shingles I would have missed it. It looks like he is using house wrap under the shingles and he ran out of felt.

He isn't returning my calls...

That is not housewrap. The roll is too short. I wasn't aware that griprite made underlayment/felt, but that's what it looks like. In this case, synthetic felt paper. It also looks like the bottom edge of the felt is over the top edge of the shingles.
So, from that single picture, it would appear that he is trying to protect your house, while he waits on additional shingles.

With a quick goggle search one would see that Grip-Rite does in fact make a roof under layment which this looks to be . So unless you requested regular felt paper he is not pulling no fast one. A lot of roofers don't use felt tar paper anymore for a number of reasons. I have not for years.
So I would not going jumping all over him without knowing the facts.

Just an FYI.. Grip Rite synthetic kind of sucks. I don't mean it performs any worse/better than others, I mean its handling characteristics put it low on the list for me. IIRC, it didn't hold up well to traffic.....fasteners ripped out too easily.

And BTW, this is for those reading the thread who might actually use synthetic from time to time
