Agree........My glass guy charges around 100 bucks to send two guys to remove and haul away most average mirrors. Money well spent.

Also have done quit a few myself. Screw 2x4 below mirror will keep it from dropping.

It is truly amazing how much a mirror will flex without breaking.

Last year had to remove approx. 100 sf of large mirrors in bathroom that where spot glued to walls. $135 paid to glass company to remove and haul away did the trick. Then had to grind the hell out of the 30 or so hard as rock glue blobs on the walls then sand, repair and paint. The $135 was some of the best money spent.

Easier to just pop them off the wall and skim and paint.

much easier, pop them off wipe some Guardz on, then skim
