Being that most Framing Guns are made in China/Tawain anyway,
I think that quality will level out.

Either Hitachi/Max/Bostitch will have to start dropping their prices,
or their going to lose a lot of business as companies like Grizzly come up.

Look at Milwaukee...they started with low prices; not too much more than the cheapest brands/generics, but far less than the best of the best.

I predict gun prices will come down significantly.

I'm still stuck on the Hitachi/Bostich question for me personally and the Max is creeping into my consideration especially with their last gun.

I've used Hit/Bost both. I just loved the Hit. It was almost "intuitive".

But the Bostitch is a monster...I feel so much faster with it.

I might just have to buy both.

Your $40 sawzall might be as good as a dewalt but no where close to a milwalkee.
If I need a corded tool and milwalkee makes it I buy it.
My milwalkee sawzalls and drills are over 10 years old, still powerful, even after my times of smelling the burn. Let them cool down and keep on going.

1 3/4 stroke is the reason you like them. We took down a large barn two weeks ago. Two chainsaws, one milwakee sawzall, and 3 HF sawzalls. Put the entire barn in dumpsters. The HF saws held their own. I was suprised and impressed, but what is weird is the fact that the few times I use one I always grab the Milwakee, but my laborers (who use them constantly)always grab the HF sawzall. Yes the Milwakee is better but obviously, not quadruple the price better.
