Right, so I'm building a house for myself and I'm not spending gobs of money on Azek or the like for Trim. Is there a 3'' J? Everyone wants to sell me a lineal. Thanks.

with the starter included,i find vinyl lineal/solid pvc a wash cost wise

I agree.... plus, the vinyl lineals are a lot harder to get exactly right at the corners IMHO.

They may be now, I haven't had to use lineal in a while. The majority of the windows we order now have integrated casings with j pockets, so it eliminated the need for either.
Either would look much better than wide J channel in my opinion.

This thread brought back some memories. I had forgotten about the wide faced j. That stuff sucks. Floppy joints and it rides in at the middle. Only used it a few times, we have done a lot of lineals over the years. They look nice when done correctly, though I always worried about water getting behind them.
