We had a couple of representatives come to our shop to demonstrate the IQPC912 cutoff saw. While it did have a fantastic dust collection, you have to pull the blade from front to back or top to bottom and the guard would block your view of any marks you would make and cut on. Also it was very heavy. It felt like it was almost 10lbs heavier than our Stihl TS 420, but it only uses a 12" blade. Unless there are some serious changes to the weight of this saw and somehow enabling the user to see the contact point of the blade and block/brick/stone, I doubt this saw will make it on my projects.

The table saw, IQ360x, on the other hand would be fantastic for keeping on the scaffolding while doing veneer. No barrels of water needed. If you have power your good to go.

Anyone else try these saws out yet?

I've seen them at several shows and have had a chance to use them on site. Heavy as you said and not having an option for a larger blade is a problem. I agree that the table saw is nice but that is good in few instances

I really only see the table saw being useful in a veneer application. It doesn't work for anything over 5" with the table on it. If you take it off you can finagle a 6" block, but not worth that type of hassle. But on a veneer where you'll have a constantly changing array of cuts to be made I see the value of having it right there with you.

I like the paver saw but it's useless for me without compound angles. Do most everyone never cut an angle or what?
Rare to need a compound angle in masonry, only herringbone fireplaces that I can think of. Usually marking the angle on the piece and lining it up with the blade is enough.
