Oh Yeeeaaaahhh...Zinsser.

Hi Guys,
I was the 70th voter, and did choose the Z-can too. I used BIN in our family-room a few years ago 'cuz we had a S/G on the walls. Throat was kinda dry after a couple hours! All that "shellac-in-alcohol ya know!

Separately, for all you guys "out East" (I'm in Fargo :whistling !!), are any of you near a C2 dealer?!?!?! You have GOT to try the newer C2-One primer! They designed it to be better than Z123, and to ME, it smells a lot less. Many of our clients don't care for Z123's smell, and when they come back after using the C2-One, they're all smiles...NOT from bein' "high" though :w00t: !! I've used it at home, and it IS very low odor. VERY nice dry-hide too.

Try it...I think you'll be a convert! Average "retail" is ~ $20/gal. The "cost" of the Kilz original oil is a LOT less than C2-One's Latex, but if ya wanna great latex....

I only purchase kilz and zinsser when I need an oil based primer. I buy the "odourless" ones that they have. I tried the kilz a almost a year ago for the first time and I was really impressed. I purchase kilz from now on. Does a great job in my opinion and it also 15 dollars cheaper then the zinsser.

I much prefer the Kilz rattle can spray primer over the thin and runny Zinnser spray can primer. As for Kilz vs. Zinnser, Kilz oil ruled way back before Zinnser BIN came on the scene big time. Nowadays its no contest, Zinnser rulez.

One thing even today about Zinnser BIN, it will run and sag very easy when spraying it on smooth walls, I have to spray a mist coat and let it tack up, then go over it again.

I've used both with success. In fact, I just used the Zinnser BIN under 2 coats of gloss white Tremclad on my trailer's roof. I insulated and sheeted it. The Zinnser is thick stuff to roll on a ceiling.
