Perhaps. I have hand taped much larger than 100 sheet jobs. Before I got rolling we completed almost all the tasks in house. No such thing as drywall crews with tape boxes when your poor and getting started. You are probably referring to my tape with bucket, bed with hot mud, skim with topping comment. Yeah, I have done all that by hand too. I am actually a pretty talented drywaller. I do not do it much anymore but when provided the opportunity I always amaze myself.

Im sure up there you fellas only use golden banjos right?
Banjo's...... we ain't no turkey in the straw play'n hillbilly's south of the Michigan boarder.:jester:

Zooks, angle heads and boxes for large jobs.

We have one, but rarely use it. I dont tape and float myself. One of those things I just dont like to do.

Reason I asked is, is somebody implying that its not as quality a product if not done by hand? Never have heard that.

Naw, I was just surprised by hearing a 100 sheet job was done by hand in another thread. Can't see that it would be profitable although I've seen some fast hand tapers that would be close, but only a couple.

Paulie, you never even ran one until june of last year. So now you buy one from craigslist and want to ridicule me for doing it the way you have your entire life?

If you want to pick on me for something I provided you all the ammo you needed with my roofing gun drywall comment. Lets not get all hire on our horses. No need to be nit picky about the little things. The hillbilly comment was a little rude.

Fast quoting..

Please remove...
I hate when they grab a quote that fast.

Yall obviously have history.

Everyone has their preferences

My guys hand tape jobs all of the time. A whole house or addition,, but some decent size jobs. That seems to be their preference.

My preference is to hang, then come back after texture, trim, and not be around for paint  I dont trim as much as I like, and only hang drywall in a jamb these days, but I never tape and float, almost never paint. If I paint, it is some minor touch up. About twice a year.

You yankees are touchy

I didnt know they had hillbillys in Dayton

If I was ashamed of being a country boy I would of took offense to the hillbilly comment, but I am not ashamed to have a little straw in my hair.

Dude, just kidding around with ya. Play on words with the banjo.

Yep I bought it on CL and a couple of angles and boxes from Columbia and to tell you the truth think I jumped the gun. Since I don't do the work much anymore nobody shares my enthusiasm for drywall work.

But dude lighten up.

I didn't think we had a history... till now.

Im not ashamed of my roots at all but when I am not a huge hillbilly and I work in a very exclusive high class market. Also admitily I am a little salty because my fourth grade football team I coach took a nice beating from some corn fed boys from up north this afternoon.
