I've owned this Makita battery charger for 4 years. Yesterday, it started playing Beethoven...to tell me it was charged enough to use.

I'm not sure whether to be happy about my tool's new found talents, or find an exorcist. Is it trying to tell me something... Fur Elise???

?

With all the Makita threads around this place you should know this by now.

It's pretty cool if you think about it. Beats walking over to your charger every so often to check if the battery is charged. Other guys on here talk about how each person on the job with Makita will have a different tune so they know who's battery is charged.

I have to say Makita has got alot to offer!

My woodworker buddy is always changing mine so it sings. I hate that. All I want is a beep.

I just put my Bosch batteries on the charger and look at my watch. When 30 minutes have passed it's charged.

I'd love it if mine could be programmed to sound like a shot gun going off :D sure would deter some of the subs..... "oh is that yours?" uh... ya the name in yellow paint is a clue.

A loud "BANG!" might give them pause to stop and read.

I'd forget my name if my wife wasn't around to yell it constantly.

No way am I going to remember to check my watch in 30 minutes unless I set an alarm. But why bother when my charger has it's own alarm? :whistling
