I have two dynaglow kerosene heaters one 75k btu wich I have had for two months no issues perfect product. The other a 210k btu bought two days ago wich is performing poorly. Not starting, spitting fuel out the front etc. I presume the diesel is gelling therefore not igniting properly? Anyone had similar issues? Anyone used diesel additive (like milligans) to reduce gelling?

Have you tried kerosene? If it works well with that, the problem may indeed be jelling of the diesel--if it's really cold where you are.

It's handy to put your location in your profile, so people don't have to ask.

Tinstaafl is probably on the right track. Most of the heaters Ive ever used spec'd keosene. It's more refined (cleaner), slightly thinner viscosity, & burns much cleaner. If that doesn't do it, some have filters on them that need to be changed out. I've also had ignitors go bad before.

I seem to have figured it out. I overestimated the complexity of this fairly simple machine. I thought it was more like a diesel truck engine with a fuel pump system as opposed to the air pressure just sucking the fuel up through the nozzle. I cleaned the spark plugs, blew out the injector nozzle, checked the fuel filter in the end just switching the switch to the high btu setting seemed to help. It still spits fuel out the front on false starts I just relocated it into the garage where it's not spewing out on the subfloor. I agree for sure the diesel is gelling in this extreme cold but I have no idea were to buy kerosene in bulk and filling a 50 liter tank with jugs from home depot at more than twice the price of diesel seems crazy. I also had a great conversation with their customer service who proceeded to tell me I should be using "off the road diesel" ??? #2 grade heating oil that gel's even more? What baffles me is that the smaller unit of the same brand has no issues at all. Anyways thanks for all the help, hope maybe this can help someone else.
