How long should one wait before applying a sealer to freshly poured colored concrete. The people she's hired want to seal it the next day.

My daughter is having a small patio done. Its not my trade but am trying to educate myself so I can help with insight if need be.

Thanks.

I work with masonry products at times, ( mortar, small amounts of concrete ) and apply a breathable sealer.
The directions for the sealer for mortar says ' apply after 72 hrs '
Thought possibly 'colored stamped concrete would be the same or similar to regular concrete.

She doesnt realy want to hear anything different then what her contractor says. She had a hard time getting someone to do it for the money she wanted it done for.

Sounds like a shortcut to finish quicker and get paid. It may even be common in that field.

Concrete sealer application requires a full curing time(28 days) for best results, a minimum of 7 days water curing time is done very often, before the sealer application, but not recommended; what the contractor's going to use, is most likely, a curing/sealing compound , in this case, it should be applied as soon as possible after concrete finishing process, nothing wrong with that.
Good Luck!

I like to use a curing/sealing compound ASAP, if the sun is hot. If I'm not pressed for time or the weather is good I wait atleast 7 days.
