So I have to make 12 realty signs. They are a two post design with a sheet in between the posts. I was going to use pvc for the 4x4 posts but I'm stumped on what to use for the actual sign. I looked at using some sort of plastic but that is kind of cost prohibitive. I have a bunch of nice 3/4 birch but would that last if it was painted really well? The green treat ply always warps so bad I was trying to stay away from that. Any suggestions. Would MDF work if I had it sealed good?

Because I wanted to do it. The sign shop that they were using wasn't thinking outside the box. The were going to make the whole thing out of wood as well. How heavy duty is S board though. It needs some pretty good backbone. Plus I wouldn't mind machining the panel to a certain extent.

Use something Citadel Panel 15 or Panel 20, etc.

Panel 15 is plywood with a aluminum skin on one or both sides. Panel 20 is thermoset phenolic resin core with a aluminum skin. they also have other panels to choose from.

Have been using these products for over 30 years, way back when it was owned by Weyerhauser.
