wd-40 on furnace blower motor armature?

Is it ok to put WD-40 on the armature of a furnace blower motor?

Done it a gazillion times. Doing so when unit is running... BAD!

WD-40 is NOT a lubricant!

i guess good for cleaning but not for lubing.

what do i need for lube?

You don't lube an armature, per say. You do lube the bearings though.

Bearings, or bushings? If bearings, wouldn't they use sealed bearings?

Many motors still use oil bearing.
