It was a fresh brand new bucket.

I had just found it last wk, on the side of the road.:balloon:

Really, it was on the road.

I tried to flag down the guy who lost it, honked and every thing. But he just kept on trucking.

I've seen when I get trash on my knife. I'm pretty sure all my problems aren't from trash.

Hey whats with the different color knives any way, like the blue steel and such? Should I be using higher grade tooling?

I worked on a site with some sheetrockers awhile back, and they all sanded their knives before mudding. Was it just to knock off the rust spots, or is there something more magical about that?
Sounds like you are jerk?

As a 16 year drywaller there qre some rught tjings and a lot of of wrong things on the blog. 1 types of mud matter. Yellow is for tapes and bead. Green is for coating. Blue is a mixture of green and yellow. It is ment for small jobs with when you have to tape and coat or can be use for texturing (very inportant do not try to texture yourself if you have 0 experince wirh drywall or if you have only seen texturing done a few times. There is a lot of things that goes into texturing specially in renos). It is slightly harder to sand then green so if you have no tapes to put on then get green. For the most part from what i seen people on this blog should stick with filling dings and that is it . Should always sand between coats (the primiter of what you coated and any ridges. Ridges happennin the primiter if not flat or if not blend to the wall and when you move mud into itself it will always create a ridge. You can sand those ridges flat. To blend drywall mud you simply apply fair amount of pressure to one side of your putty knife, trowel, or wipinng knife on the outside of what you coat, this will blend it to the wall. It is a fine line between blending and flattening. To much pressure you take to much mud off not enough pressure you have to much mud and takes a while to sand. (You are never trying ro sand all the mud off uou just need to sand the outside and ridges tell they are flat. To check flatness, take yiur wiping knife or trowel put on edge over the thing you coated if flat you will not see and light through the edge, if you see light that is the low side and you need to add more mud to that side but in the sense you coat the whole thing again so it does not flash. (With dings you fill and when dry sand it and repeat tell thw ding fully filled, that is the easy part and only the easy part to drywall so gernerally you will save time and effort and money hiring a drywaller [don't be shy to price match becareful of the lowest price they are either super nice pr are just not experienced enough to the job and the highestnprice is probably cause it is small and the person doesn't have time to deal with it so it is an f off price so they shouldn't get the job and if they do it they are getting paid well for it] dings are hard to over sand everything else it is really easy to over sand which cause more coats which can lead to more problems ect. If hiring a drywaller wqlls shoukd ve flat, dingless (if a few dings are left it was probaly from cleaning up or someone else hit the wall so don't get mad at them for dings because are easy to fix, however butts and flats (flats are beveled joints and buts are the butt ends of the sheet joints) so if they don't look flat now be the time to get mad (respectively) and get them to fix it. Never use mess tape it is garbage, always use paper tape it is a difference of about 3 dollars and won't have you house crack in the furture like mess tape will. (If some drywall uses mess tape and sees this comment not looking to fight, it shpuld honestly never be used). If your house is all crack in the corners it is probably due to mesh tape or rounded corners. Without being there to explain it this is the best i can do with written words. Here is my email aaaucc@hotmail.com with a proper subject line(doubt i will be back on this site any time soon) if not sure or have further questions i be more than happy to help. I work a lot so please allow sometime for a response but i will get back to you. Thank you have a great day

Would you mind repeating that after spellchecked and paragraphed...maybe 8 years from now?

You do realize this is a forum for professionals and we really dont need a bunch of homeowner info?

Not saying there isn't some useful info in there, but it comes across like you are talking to DIYers.

Also, please use paragraphs and punctuation. It gets a bit tedious reading all these pop in posts and then to find out it is 8 years old.

First time on the internet?
