    Hello Everyone,

It is a pleasure to be part of a community that honors contractors and the contribution we make everyday.

Having grown up in a construction family and spending many wonderful years as a Journeyman Plumber (I passed the Washington State PL01 exam in 1981) I truly understand what contractors are going through today.

A few words of encouragement. "This to shall pass". I have lived through a number of business cycles since the early 1960's and have owned and operated a few successful construction firms including remodeling and plumbing companies.

If history is a guide after each downturn when things improved it was the contractors who invested in Processes, Procedures and Systems during the slow times that made a LOT OF MONEY because they had prepared for recovery.

I encourage everyone to get ready because America's best days are still in the future.

If I can be of service please let me know and please respond to this post and tell me exactly what you think. Agree or disagree all comments are welcome.

Randal, please respond in the forum if you care to. I seldom read these comments.

If you have owned "a few" successful companies, how is it that you no longer do? One suffices for me, and has for many years.

I don't think I will be asking for your advice.
