Re: Hope You Guys On The East Coast R OK

We're in central western New Jersey and escaped the big hit other than some downed tree and no electricity for up to 24 hours.

Just 30 minutes east of us you have the Jersey shore and it is devastated!

From Cape May all the way to the Hudson River it's total devastation.

One project we were suppose to start next week is under 3 to 4 feet of sand and that's the town you see in the NEWS where the roller-coaster is in the surf.

Millions along the coast as well as most of South Jersey is going to be without electricity for weeks.

Southern New Jersey and Delaware took the BIG HIT weather wise with 8 to 10 inches rain and 75 mph winds, the New York city and lower Hudson River (Raritan Bay) took a huge 14' storm surge hit (at high tide)... so any boats pulled out of the water prior to the storm and stored at marinas were all washed away while on blocks and stands when the surge hit.

It's hard to imagine how we got off easy... while others only a few miles away were devastated.

Right on the coast on the md/de line, and like dale said, we dodged a bullet, this time....some minor floodling and some wind damage locally. could have been alot worse. hate to say it, but it might lead to some "soda" blast work for remediation...otherwise, things are slow right now.
