Polyurethane Over Latex


Can you spray water based polyurethane over a latex paint in order to make it a tougher surface ?

Yes you can. I have sprayed Sher-Clear over oil and latex

IT WILL YELLOW AND LOOK PATCHY!! In my experience. Been there, done that, caused the work to be repeated!

Depends on what poly you use. Some will turn yellow over time. I like the Polyacrylics haven't had an issue with them turning yellow yet.
