Re: New Project

What are you using for backfill Karl? For retainers like that I like 6"-8" riprap.

Re: New Project

The soils drains very well. We're just building a stout, tight wall with a good size bsse.

Re: New Project

Karl,
Funny, I recognize that site, help me out. The configuration by the fence I saw this morning was a wee bit different than we had talked about earlier, though the grades in that corner were funky to begin with. I like the stone and it will lend itself to the size of the wall at it's tallest (the funky corner). Thanks for bailing me out of a spot, I appreciate it. You're in good hands as you know, they'll take care of you. CK is one of a kind, and I mean that in the most flattering way! If he likes ya, you are golden.

Re: New Project

Oh, missed you this morning. Was picking up some materials.
Yeah, the wall is " developing" . That fence is coming down, that little 6x6 retaining wall is going. ...and Stevens' was back in this afternoon to dig more on the west end of the wall.

Re: New Project

Bailing the next 20 tons over the wall. Got the mid section of the wall just about to cap height so they could backfill and get the machine closer to where we need the stone.

I assume we're hitting the mark on Perrault Masonry quality.

Karl,
Yes, and that's certainly why I passed this to you. You'll make me look good just by you and John doing what I had no time to do and we all shine in the end. Thank you again!!!

Rained out today. Went in after 12"00 when the rain let up. Only to have it start pouring as soon as I got there.
