Question

Insta-Loc Experience??

I was in the local supply yard today and saw a new (?) product. They told me it can not be used behind sheetrock so I am not sure what use it really has other than in Mobil Homes, but the concept is cool.

A Push on Valve, Fitting, Elbow: That will connect dissimilar pipe to each other as well as similar pipe (copper to copper and copper to plastic or pex)

I've used these http://www.transair-usa.com/ and these http://www.camozzi-usa.com/ for decades in industrial applications.

A lot of boat manufacturers switched to this http://www.johnguest.com/ after the Qest debacle back in the '80's.

Tectite by Elkhart, Sharkbite by CashAcme..there are a few MFG's of O-ring sealed Handyman specialty roducts.
Try one of their couplings, then put a small amount of perpendicular pressure on the fitting.
Have bucket handy.
I also suggest a great product called Polybutylene with crimps...incredibly easy to use...no need for a plumber.

In my opinion go with a Ridgid ProPress. That has become the mainstay in our shop. All be, it is a little shop. Later, J
