Beamis Slow Drop Seat Won't Stay Put

Help! Maybe caused by a mount on a Toto (distance to bowl?)

Whenever lifted - slowly, it begins to pass a tipping point and starts to lower while in use. Annoying. And its difficult to stay mindful of this hazard during a middle of the night wake-up call...

Any way to loosen tension? Believe it already is mounted forward.

Wish it were that easy -- thx for the optimism.

Although you are giving me ideas.

I could slip on a political-themed. Just let it catch the spray.

Assuming that it's hitting the tank top, loosen the seat bolts and see if you can slide it further a bit. If it came with offset oval washers, use them in the forward position instead of the centered washers.

Or push the tank lid a bit further back, if possible.

A bit goofy, but sticking a counterweight on the top edge of the lid might also solve it.

Then I would think that they have a problem, not you.

Is the toilet level from front to back? If it's tipping down towards the front, that might be causing the issue

Church and Bemis are the same exact toilet seats - just different names. You should be able to use either of them on a Toto toilet.
