Started stringing tape today ..I hope to have all the tapes on before that last sheet is up!

The hangers are a Father and Son team . The two average 45 - 55 sheets a day . The Father is one of the best I've seen with the router..He never misses a box..Never covers a box.And never nicks a wire . The Son Works his ass off !! He's 17 . And freakin LOVES Drywall!!! Kinda reminds me of me.. When I loved it!

This same G/C has another home ready soon . I hear it's a 6000 sq ft home .. I haven't seen it yet. I know where It's at ..Just scared to go look at It

You hire the board hangers - or the GC?
You do the sand-out - or hire those too?

I hire /sub the hangers . On the smaller jobs I hang myself .additions/renos etc.. IF I or my hangers don't hang it ..I don't finish It.

No one will sand my work but me..It's my baby from the day It's loaded till the day the painters show up.

And in case you didn't know STG...I'm a solo finisher . And a picky sumbitch!!

One mean ass 20 board addition. I'm still pulling splinters out of my balls! Those damn beams !!!!

Instead of tracking through the home ..I had to load all my scaffold and gear through a window ! That was fun!

I must not get out much, or its a Virginia thing. What's with the beams - people hang and dry their own tobaccy leaf?

BTW, all blue steel knives - sign of a old timer....

...a good sign too.

It Was a room reno. They ripped it all out and took it to the roof.

It was warped to hell.. And hung with the light weight board ..That didn't help !! I won't use SS. Just won't!

I've heard of guys wiping them down with W/D 40 at the end of the day.
I've never tried It. Once the blue film wears off of the broad knives They're pretty well shot for me. With my fivers and sixers I use sandpaper.
