by turning the lights 45 deg you just increased your cost by 20-30% if they are set in the grids. Keep grid straight and stagger lights.

Do you have flammability issues in schools there? Here just about everything has to be fire retardant, most schools are all block, just accent fire retardant wood here and there.

Not a T bar ceiling.

Wood frame construction.

All the schools I deal with are wood frame construction.
