Pest Control Office Software HELP

We operate a small 3 truck business in California, and it's time we upgrade our office software to streamline our processes.

Do any of you have any recommendations for good, solid software that has helped your bottom line? We're looking at a Wintac based product, any experience with them or other recommendations? We need to move into the computer age and don't want to make a purchasing mistake.

Thanks for any input, happy to have found this great resource!

I wish I knew. Wintac looks interesting. A lot of companies use pest pac, but my word is it expensive. I like that with Wintac you just pay once. I use RDF, which is pretty basic, but was a one time charge.

Re: Pest Control Office Software HELP

For my needs RDF works fine. I really like a lot of the features. It is good for tracking expenses and sales and printing invoices. I can print all sorts of reports. The only problem I have ever really had is with the scheduling, when I first got it I was able to pretty well keep everything scheduled in there until the first year end passed and then I couldn't figure it out or something, so I just went to a card catalog for scheduling.

The program itself first struck me as seeming a bit DOS-based, which it may be as Mr. RDF(those are his initials) has been making it since the 90's or maybe even before(of course I don't know, I'm just guessing). That doesn't really matter if it works. He has an update now that allows credit card processing from within the program, but your range of merchant processors is limited.

All I need is expense tracking, sales reports, customer records, and invoice printing. It works great for that. There may be better products out there, but they are much more expensive.

I look at everything based on a minimum 5 year cost. So Pest Pac would be something like $6000-10,000/5 years. RDF was $500. Pretty simple call for me. With 3 trucks you might get more functionality out of pestpac than I would.
