Thermal Leakage gun recommendation

I am looking into buying one of those thermal leakage guns sold at home depot. How good do they work? Can you program them at certain temps?
I know the camera's are best but they are expensive and i am only using for windows and siding.
Any recommendations?

A thermal leakage gun like an infrared thermometer? Worthless for what you are mentioning

Look into an entry level Flir or Fluke and some training - now you have a tool that you can hopefully properly use as those pretty little pictures can throw you for a loop if you don't understand all the basics

I read somewhere about an FLIR attachment for an I-phone camera...

hmmm...
